toilet-papering

Streaming white mischief

Toilet-papering is the prank of throwing rolls of toilet paper into trees, over houses, or across yards, leaving streamers draped everywhere.

Typically performed at night by teenagers, it's mischievous rather than malicious—a rite of passage that creates a mess without causing damage: We toilet-papered the principal's house.

Also called TPing.
