to-scale

Keeping correct proportions

To-scale describes something made or drawn in accurate proportion to the original, where all dimensions maintain the same ratio.

A to-scale model of a building might be one-hundredth the actual size, but every measurement—height, width, depth—shrinks by exactly that factor.

The term appears most often in architecture, engineering, and mapmaking, where precise spatial relationships matter.

The architect presented a to-scale rendering of the proposed stadium.
