tiglon
Striped-maned offspring
A tiglon is the hybrid offspring of a male tiger and a female lion.
Like the more common liger (male lion, female tiger), tiglons are bred in captivity and don't occur in the wild.
They typically inherit features from both parents—striping from the tiger, sometimes a small mane from the lion.
Also spelled tigon.
