thundersticks

Stadium bang tubes

Thundersticks are inflatable plastic tubes that spectators bang together at sporting events to create noise.

They come in pairs and produce a loud clapping sound when struck against each other.

Also called bangsticks or cheer sticks, they're distributed by teams or sponsors and fill arenas with rhythmic thunder: The crowd's thundersticks were deafening during the playoffs.
