thing of the past
No longer relevant
Something that no longer exists, is no longer relevant, or has been superseded.
Often used to mark how times have changed: Typewriters are a thing of the past.
The phrase can be nostalgic, dismissive, or simply factual: I thought landlines were a thing of the past, but my grandmother still uses hers.
