tennis net
Rally's central obstacle
A tennis net is the mesh barrier stretched across the center of a tennis court, dividing it into two halves.
Players must hit the ball over the net to keep it in play.
The net stands three feet high at the center and slightly higher at the posts.
The ball clipped the top of the tennis net and dropped in.
