temporalize
Place in time
To temporalize is to place something within time or give it a temporal dimension.
Abstract concepts, eternal truths, or timeless ideas become temporalized when treated as historically situated or time-bound: The philosopher temporalized being itself, treating existence as fundamentally historical.
In theology, to temporalize the sacred is to bring it into worldly, time-bound experience.
The word appears mainly in academic contexts.
