technomaniac

Technology addiction sufferer

A technomaniac is someone with an obsessive enthusiasm for technology—the person who must have every new gadget, who can't resist tinkering with devices, or who becomes consumed by technical pursuits.

The word carries a hint of excess, suggesting passion that borders on compulsion: He's a complete technomaniac—there's not a smart device he won't buy.
