talkfest
Extended verbal marathon
A talkfest is a prolonged session of talking, often implying more conversation than action or substance.
The word typically carries a slightly dismissive tone, suggesting that participants are talking issues to death rather than resolving them: The summit turned into a talkfest with no concrete agreements.
Also used neutrally for any extended discussion or chat session.
