elevator pitch
Brief business summary
An elevator pitch is a brief, persuasive summary of an idea, product, or oneself—short enough to deliver during an elevator ride.
The term comes from business contexts where you might have only thirty seconds with an executive: I've been working on my elevator pitch for investors.
The concept has spread to job interviews, networking events, and any situation requiring quick, compelling self-presentation.
