sushi belt
Rotating plate track
A sushi belt is a conveyor system in restaurants that carries small plates of sushi past diners, who select what they want as it passes.
Also called a conveyor belt sushi restaurant or kaiten-zushi.
The format originated in Japan and emphasizes casual, self-service dining: We grabbed lunch at the sushi belt place downtown.
