A superpatriot is someone whose patriotism is extreme or excessive, often to the point of chauvinism or jingoism.
The term usually carries a critical edge, suggesting blind nationalism rather than admirable love of country: The superpatriots wrapped themselves in the flag while ignoring the Constitution.
Sometimes used self-mockingly by those who embrace an exaggerated patriotic identity.
