stunting
Impeding normal development
Stunting is showing off, especially by flaunting wealth, style, or success.
The term comes from hip-hop culture, where it describes ostentatious displays—expensive cars, jewelry, designer clothes: He's been stunting on Instagram all week.
Separately, stunting refers to impaired growth or development: Malnutrition causes stunting in children.
