hotdogging
Showing off recklessly
Hotdogging is showing off with flashy, risky moves—especially in skiing, surfing, skateboarding, or other action sports.
A hotdogger prioritizes style and spectacle over safety or efficiency: He was hotdogging down the slope instead of skiing properly.
The term can extend to any context where someone performs ostentatiously to attract attention.
