student unions
College advocacy groups
Student unions are organizations run by and for students at a college or university, typically providing advocacy, social activities, and services.
The term also refers to the building housing such an organization—a gathering place with lounges, food services, and meeting spaces: Let's grab lunch at the student union.
In British usage, the student union often includes a bar.
