steak-cut
Butcher's premium slice
Steak-cut describes food sliced thick, like a steak rather than in thin pieces or chunks.
The term appears most often with fries or chips: steak-cut fries are wedge-shaped and substantial, distinct from shoestring or crinkle-cut varieties.
It also applies to vegetables and fish: steak-cut salmon, steak-cut green beans.
