softball field
Infield and outfield
A softball field is the diamond-shaped playing area where softball is played, smaller than a baseball field with base paths of 60 feet rather than 90.
The infield is typically all dirt, and the pitcher throws from a flat circle rather than a raised mound.
We reserved the softball field for Saturday's tournament.
