pitching rubber
Mound's white rectangle
The pitching rubber is the rectangular white slab set into the pitcher's mound in baseball, from which the pitcher must deliver the ball.
Rules require the pitcher's foot to be in contact with the rubber at the start of the pitch.
The rubber sits sixty feet, six inches from home plate in professional baseball.
