socketless
Lacking power ports
Socketless describes something lacking a socket—the hollow or opening designed to receive a corresponding part.
The word appears in technical contexts for equipment that doesn't require traditional socket connections: a socketless lamp design, socketless power transfer.
It can also describe anatomy or injury: The socketless eye had been surgically removed.
