snuffles
Nose breathing noises
Snuffles refers to noisy, congested breathing through the nose, or the condition causing it—typically a mild respiratory infection in animals or humans.
A rabbit or guinea pig with snuffles has a runny nose and labored breathing.
The word also names the repeated sniffing sounds themselves: The dog's snuffles woke me up.
As a verb, to snuffle is to breathe noisily or sniff repeatedly, often while crying or from a cold.
