slungshot
Weighted striking implement
A slungshot is a small, heavy weight attached to a flexible handle or strap, designed to be swung as a weapon.
Unlike a slingshot, which launches projectiles, a slungshot delivers blows directly through the weighted end striking a target.
Historically favored by sailors and street criminals for its concealability and effectiveness, slungshots are now illegal in many jurisdictions.
The weapon is similar in principle to a blackjack or cosh.
