slap shots
Powerful puck strikes
A slap shot is a powerful hockey shot where the player raises the stick high and slaps it down forcefully onto the puck, generating maximum velocity.
The windup and follow-through resemble a golf swing.
Slap shots are slower to execute than wrist shots but travel faster: He wound up for a slap shot from the blue line.
