skygazing
Looking at stars
Skygazing is the activity of looking up at the sky, whether to observe stars, clouds, planes, or simply to contemplate.
It suggests a leisurely, often meditative quality: We spent the evening skygazing on the back porch.
The term encompasses both casual daydreaming and more purposeful stargazing.
