Shallow therapeutic tub
A sitzbath is a shallow bath in which only the hips and buttocks are immersed, used for therapeutic purposes—typically to relieve pain or promote healing after childbirth, hemorrhoid surgery, or other conditions affecting the pelvic region.
The term comes from German *sitzen*, to sit.
