silkscreened

Stencil-printed through mesh

Silkscreened describes something printed using a stencil process where ink is pushed through a fine mesh screen onto a surface.

The technique produces bold, flat colors and is used for posters, t-shirts, and art prints: a silkscreened concert poster, silkscreened band logos.

Andy Warhol's silkscreened portraits became iconic works of pop art.
