side eye
Judgmental peripheral look
Side eye is a sideways glance expressing skepticism, disapproval, or judgment—looking at someone without turning your head to face them directly.
The gesture conveys suspicion or disdain while maintaining plausible deniability: She gave him major side eye when he said he'd been at work all night.
As a verb, to side-eye someone is to look at them this way: I side-eyed the waiter when he brought the wrong order.
