shoulder harness
Upper body restraint
A shoulder harness is a strap or set of straps that passes over the shoulders to secure a person or distribute weight.
In vehicles, a shoulder harness is the diagonal portion of a seatbelt that crosses the chest: Fasten your shoulder harness before takeoff.
Shoulder harnesses also secure parachutes, child carriers, and safety equipment for workers at heights.
