shinsplints
Jogger's leg pain
Shinsplints, also written as two words, is pain along the shinbone caused by inflammation of the muscles and tendons attached to it.
The condition typically afflicts runners, dancers, and others who put repeated stress on their lower legs, especially when starting a new exercise regimen or increasing intensity too quickly.
Rest and ice are the standard remedies.
I had to take a week off from training because of shinsplints.
