series circuits
One loop, all connected
A series circuit is an electrical circuit where components are connected end-to-end in a single path, so current flows through each component in sequence.
If one component fails, the entire circuit breaks—like old Christmas lights that all go dark when one bulb burns out.
Contrast with parallel circuits, where current has multiple paths.
