Therapeutic environment chambers
Sensory rooms are controlled environments designed to stimulate or calm the senses through lighting, sounds, textures, and other features.
They serve therapeutic purposes for people with autism, dementia, anxiety, or sensory processing differences: The school installed a sensory room where overstimulated students can decompress.
Also called multisensory environments or Snoezelen rooms.
