self-winding
Motion-charged, no batteries
Self-winding describes a mechanism that winds itself automatically, most commonly applied to watches.
A self-winding watch uses the motion of the wearer's arm to power a rotor that keeps the mainspring wound, eliminating the need for manual winding: My grandfather's self-winding watch still keeps perfect time.
