seed library
Community planting exchange
A seed library is a collection of seeds available for borrowing or free distribution, typically housed in a public library, community center, or garden organization.
Members take seeds to plant, then return seeds harvested from mature plants to replenish the collection.
The system promotes biodiversity, preserves heirloom varieties, and shares local growing knowledge: The seed library has tomato varieties adapted to our climate.
