see through

Not be fooled

See through has two distinct uses.

The first means to perceive the true nature of something despite appearances: I saw through his act immediately.

The second means to persist with something until completion: She saw the project through despite setbacks.

As an adjective, see-through describes transparent material: a see-through blouse.
