Your other half
A second self is a person so close and similar to you that they seem like another version of you—a trusted confidant who shares your thoughts, values, and instincts.
The term often describes an intimate friend or alter ego: My college roommate became my second self.
It can also refer to a hidden aspect of one's own personality.
