second molar
Rear chewing tooth
The second molar is one of the large flat teeth at the back of the mouth, positioned between the first molar and the wisdom tooth.
Humans have four second molars—two upper, two lower—used for grinding food.
They typically emerge around age twelve, earning them the informal name "twelve-year molars."
