cuspid

Fang-like dental feature

A cuspid is a pointed tooth designed for tearing food—what's commonly called a canine tooth.

Humans have four cuspids, one in each quadrant of the mouth, positioned between the incisors and premolars.

The name refers to the single pointed cusp that distinguishes these teeth from flatter molars.
