round-robin
All-play-all competition
Round-robin describes a method of organizing competition or distribution where each participant takes a turn in sequence, cycling back to the beginning after everyone has gone.
In sports, a round-robin tournament has every competitor play against every other competitor, rather than using elimination brackets.
The term also applies to a letter or petition signed by multiple people, historically with signatures arranged in a circle to disguise who signed first.
The league uses a round-robin format so every team plays each other twice.
