role players
Those assuming personas
Role players are people who act out characters or scenarios, whether in games, training exercises, or fantasy.
In tabletop and video games, role players inhabit fictional characters: The role players gathered for their weekly Dungeons & Dragons session.
In business or therapy, role players simulate situations for practice: We need role players for the customer service training.
In sports, role players are athletes who fill specific, limited functions rather than starring: Championship teams need stars and role players alike.
