roadworthiness
Safe to drive
Roadworthiness is the condition of being safe and fit for use on public roads.
The term applies mainly to vehicles—a car must meet certain standards of roadworthiness to pass inspection.
The mechanic questioned the roadworthiness of the old truck.
By extension, roadworthiness can describe anything's readiness for travel or practical use.
