ringtoss

Loop the stake

Ringtoss is a game where players throw rings at a target, trying to land them around an upright peg or hook.

Common at carnivals and fairs, it's simple in concept but notoriously difficult to win: We spent ten dollars on ringtoss and got nothing.

Also called ring toss or quoits when played with rope rings.
