ring bearer
Wedding aisle youngster
A ring bearer is a young boy, typically between ages four and eight, who carries the wedding rings down the aisle during a marriage ceremony.
He usually walks just before the flower girl or bride, presenting the rings on a small pillow or in a decorative box.
In many weddings, the rings he carries are symbolic stand-ins while an adult keeps the real ones safe.
Her nephew served as ring bearer at the ceremony.
