ring-tailed
Like a raccoon
Ring-tailed describes an animal with a tail marked by alternating bands of color, typically light and dark rings.
The ring-tailed lemur of Madagascar is the most familiar example, but raccoons, coatis, and certain cats also bear ringed tails.
The term appears mainly in species names and wildlife descriptions: a ring-tailed cat prowling the canyon.
