Ancient poem performer
A rhapsodist is someone who recites or performs epic poetry, originally the wandering performers of ancient Greece who recited Homer.
By extension, a rhapsodist is anyone who speaks or writes with extravagant enthusiasm, as though caught up in poetic rapture: He became a rhapsodist for the local cuisine.
