Christian history
Faith's recorded past
Christian history is the study or narrative of Christianity's development from its origins to the present—encompassing the early church, theological controversies, schisms, reformations, missions, and institutional evolution.
The term may refer to an academic discipline, a course of study, or the events themselves: She's writing her dissertation on early Christian history.
Sometimes used more narrowly for events considered foundational: the Christian history of the Holy Land.
