resew

Fix torn seams

To resew is to sew again—repairing a seam that has come undone, reattaching something that has torn loose, or redoing stitching that was poorly done the first time: I had to resew the button after it fell off again.

The word applies to both fabric and, in medical contexts, surgical sutures.
