resegregates
Divides anew racially
Resegregates means to segregate again after a period of integration.
The term appears most often in discussions of schools, neighborhoods, or institutions that had achieved racial integration but have since returned to separation: The district resegregates as white families move to the suburbs.
The process may be de facto rather than legally mandated.
