rescue breaths

Mouth-to-mouth ventilations

Rescue breaths are breaths blown into a person's mouth or nose during CPR or resuscitation, forcing air into the lungs when someone has stopped breathing.

The rescuer seals their mouth over the victim's and exhales: Give two rescue breaths after every thirty chest compressions.

Also called artificial respiration.
