rehabber

Fixer of houses

A rehabber is someone who rehabilitates something—most often real estate or wildlife.

In property investment, a rehabber buys distressed houses, renovates them, and resells or rents them: She's a rehabber who flips three or four houses a year.

In wildlife rescue, a rehabber cares for injured or orphaned animals with the goal of releasing them back into the wild.

The term can also apply to someone undergoing rehabilitation, particularly from addiction or injury.
