redbreasts
Garden birds, orange-fronted
Redbreasts is the plural of redbreast, a bird with red or reddish breast feathers—most commonly the European robin or the American robin.
The term appears in older nature writing and poetry: The redbreasts sang in the hedgerow.
In American usage, robin has almost entirely displaced redbreast.
