rebuilder
One who reconstructs
A rebuilder is someone who reconstructs or restores something that has been damaged, destroyed, or fallen into disrepair.
The term applies broadly—to contractors who rebuild houses after disasters, mechanics who restore engines, and coaches tasked with turning around struggling sports teams.
The city hired rebuilders to restore the historic district after the fire.
In a figurative sense, anyone who helps restore something to a former state—a relationship, an organization, a reputation—can be called a rebuilder.
